Research Associate

Job Description

Development of point-of-care diagnostic products. Will work as part of project teams to develop products from feasibility through Validation and transfer to manufacturing. Will collaborate with internal and external collaborators and clients. Requires a highly motivated scientist with the ability to conduct robust and efficient experiments to solve difficult technical problems. The ability to work independently is desired. The position requires the ability to work accurately, efficiently and swiftly in a fast-paced lab. Candidate must have a strong desire to bring products to market. A minimum of 2 year related work experience. Experience with membrane-based immunochromatographic assays is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Immunoassay development experience
  • Basic algebraic, statistical and mathematical skills
  • General computer knowledge
  • Good organizational skills
  • Laboratory skills, such as protein purification, antibody conjugation, solution preparation, ELISA experience, assay development skills, etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of QSR’s and ISO
  • Basic Chemistry or Biochemistry

Requires a highly motivated scientist with an outstanding ability to design and conduct robust and efficient experiments to solve difficult technical problems.  The ability to work independently is desired.  The position requires the ability to work accurately, efficiently and swiftly in a fast-paced lab.  Candidate must have a strong desire to bring products to market.  BS in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering or related field and a minimum of 3 years related work experience.  Experience with membrane-based immunochromatographic assays is a plus.

Senior Scientist

Job Description

Development of point-of-care diagnostic products and management of development projects. Will be responsible for programs from feasibility through to Validation and transfer to manufacturing. Will collaborate with internal and external collaborators and clients. Responsible for maintenance of timelines and budgets. Requires a highly motivated scientist with project management experience and an outstanding ability to design and conduct robust and efficient experiments to solve difficult technical problems.  The ability to work independently and oversee the work of multiple research associates and scientists is desired.  The position requires the ability to work accurately, efficiently and swiftly in a fast-paced lab.  Candidate must have a strong desire to bring products to market.  BS in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering or related field and a minimum of 10 years related work experience.  Experience with membrane-based immunochromatographic assays is required.
